Alpha Delta Pi was founded as the first secret society for women in 1851 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. Clemson University's Zeta Nu chapter was founded in 1976. Our sorority is committed to high academic standards, social responsibility, sisterhood, values, and ethics.

To date, Alpha Delta Pi has initiated more than 235,000 women, many of whom are actively involved in one of over 145 collegiate chapters and 150 alumnae associations throughout the United States and Canada.

From our president

Being a member of ADPi has truly been one of the greatest blessings of my life. It has brought me true friendships, constant support, and a sisterhood that encourages me to grow and become a better version of myself every day.

Welcome to the Zeta Nu Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi! I’m Emerson Chetwood, and I’m honored to serve as Chapter President this year. This role has been a lifelong dream, and it feels surreal to finally lead a chapter that means so much to me.

As a potential new member going through the recruitment process, I found a deep sense of comfort each round as I walked through the curtains into ADPi. That feeling has stayed with me ever since, giving me the ability to try new things and challenge myself to reach my greatest potential. Each woman in Zeta Nu brings something uniquely beautiful to our chapter, and together, we form a strong, compassionate, and well-rounded sisterhood.

In my previous role as Director of New Member Experience, I had the privilege of guiding our Alpha Class of 2024 as they found their place in our chapter. It was a joy to witness their growth and connection to our sisterhood as our membership team worked together to ensure the new members had a smooth and fulfilling transition. Whether we’re celebrating accomplishments, lifting each other up during challenges, or cherishing small moments together, we are reminded that ADPi is more than just a sorority – it’s a home.

As President, I aim to lead with purpose and empathy, committed to fostering growth and meaningful connections. My goal is to leave a legacy of heartfelt leadership, fueled by my love for our chapter and the sisterhood that makes it so special. The vision statement guiding me and the chapter this year is: “To lead with purpose and empathy, serving others with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to fostering growth and connection.” I am incredibly grateful to be surrounded by an Executive Board and officers made up of driven, thoughtful women who are committed to making the Zeta Nu experience as memorable and rewarding as possible. I will never be able to fully give back to this chapter as much as it has given me.

We invite you to scroll our website and explore what makes our sisterhood so special. We are thrilled to have you here!

Loyally,

Emerson Chetwood
